Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Expedition
Well done to the twenty five year 10 students that completed the qualifying expedition of the bronze award. The group the previous weekend completed a practice expedition in Northumberland and then went to Teesdale where they walked for two full days and camped in very cold conditions. All of the students impressed in demonstrated a range of key skills and qualities such as teamwork, decision making , leadership and resilience. The final day was glorious in terms of the weather and they got to walk along the river Tees and see stunning Low and High Force and scramble up the side of another waterfall near to the Cow Green reservoir. Most of the students have now completed the bronze level and we hope that many decide to challenge themselves further in taking on silver.
