Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award qualifying expedition
A big well done to the 21 students who successfully completed the bronze qualifying expedition in the North Pennines over the weekend.
The weather was stunning all weekend, with clear blue skies and endless sunshine, but it did make for tough walking conditions. The students displayed a committed and resilient attitude. It was wonderful to see their teamwork skills develop over the two days, ensuring everyone made it to the end tired but proud of their efforts.
Many thanks again to all the staff who volunteer their time to support this fabulous award. It has been a very successful DofE spring/summer season, with a good number of students taking part and gaining so much in terms of personal development.
