Harvest festival is a long-standing tradition at Harton, and as an academy, we remain very proud of this! On 7th October, we welcomed several guests from our community, including the elderly VIP from Cheviot Court Care Home, escorted by Erica. They were also joined by the charity, The Key Project. It was wonderful for our guests to meet many of our wonderful students and staff, and we truly do appreciate that they took the time to visit us. Thank you.
My personal thanks go to all involved, including the hundreds of food donations from our children. These donations were later parcelled up and distributed amongst our neighbours and to others who are in need. The occasion reminds us that others matter and demonstrates how much the children and staff at Harton genuinely care about them. Thanks also go to our wonderful musicians, prefects and numerous staff who helped put the Harvest Festival together. By naming some, we miss out so many others, so I will only mention Lewis, our Head Boy and Clodagh, our Head Girl, who read so beautifully. Thank you to all!
