Message for our soon to be year 7 students

Dear year 6 (soon to be year 7) parents, carers and students

Apologies that due to some very unfortunate circumstances we felt it inappropriate to send out the more detailed information last week as planned.

However, I just wanted to say that we are all very much looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday September 8th, when you will arrive on a staggered basis depending on your form class. I know that Mrs McConville has already issued some information about your first day at Harton Academy, but the details for Wednesday 9th September have now been issued in my previous message on the school’s website and Facebook account.

Many thanks to those of you who sent lovely e-mail letters about yourselves – I have thoroughly enjoyed reading those as has Mrs McConville. They will be passed on to your tutors and teachers in due course.

Thanks also to those of you who have returned your admission packs and forms. If you haven’t, could I urge you to do so asap.

Finally, it was such a shame that we couldn’t meet you properly on the transition days but, as you know, they had to be cancelled due to COVID-19. Hopefully, the following video will give you some information about where you need to come on your first day and there are some very nice messages from form tutors, the young Mr Gibson (your Head of Year) and Mrs McConville.

Have a fabulous summer break and do take care.

Very best wishes,

Sir Ken
