Durham University Visit
Sixteen year 12 students recently visited Durham University to help them research future progression options. We were delighted that two former 6th form students – Chloe who is a first year Psychology and Education undergraduate and Courtney who is a second year undergraduate studying Anthropology and Sociology were able to be our tour guides and experts for the day. They were very impressive and excellent ambassadors in the way that they gave generously of their time and conducted themselves. The students had a talk from the vice chancellor at Collingwood College, a walking tour around the city and also a look around St Chads College where both Chloe and Courtney attend. Hopefully the trip was very informative and certainly helps the students to understand how a collegiate university is organised and functions. We have had a significant number of students each year gain places at Durham University and we look forward to many of this group aspiring and gaining places at some of the world’s leading universities.
