1) Weight bearing exercise which places stress on the bones has shown to improve bone density and strength. This fact could be particularly beneficial to older adults and post-menopausal women.
2) Improved muscle tone, strength and posture.
3) The Heart (cardiac muscle) will see an increase in size and strength, an improvement in blood flow, a lowering of blood pressure which enables the heart to work more efficiently.
4) The respiratory muscles become stronger, making the effort involved in breathing much easier.
