Ecuador expedition training in North Yorkshire

Seven Harton year 13 students and one member of staff will soon be heading on a trip of a lifetime when they travel for a monthlong expedition to Ecuador in July 2017. After fundraising for 18 months the final preparation are now taking place with the team completing their expedition training in North Yorkshire. The aim of the weekend was to work together as a team with the expedition leader to fine tune the key skills and qualities that will be essential when they get to Ecuador. The feedback from the staff involved was impressive and the group really came together and had a laugh during a number of different games and activities in beautiful weather. It is clear that they are now starting to get excited about the challenges that will lay ahead such as working on an environment project on the banks of the Amazon river, White Water Rafting on the Jatunyaco river, Whale watching, trekking the in the Chugchilean Valley and climbing the Ruminahui Volcano. We very much look forward to seeing the photos and hearing about what will undoubtedly be an incredible experience. Well done team Ecuador.
