Just a quick update on the HTC News music league. After another listen I have decided to change Divide’s score to an 8/10 but anyway lets jump right in to this episode.

Hello internet and welcome to HTC news today we have another album to try and tackle the champion album Divide. It’s time for the Super Amazing album championship, INTRODUCING THE CHALLENGER! RELEASED IN 2015 MADE BY TWENTY ØNE PILØTS! IT’S BLURRYFACE! This album was made from the perspective of a fictional character Blurryface who is a deranged character trying to cope with the pressure of adulating. It is clear that the character is struggling with life due to the lyric “Use to play pretend, give each other different names we would build a rocket ship and then fly far away. Used to dream of outer space but now they laugh in our face saying wake up you need to make money.” This shows that the character has left school and needs to earn money not play games. Anyway we’re going to start this review with ‘heavydirtysoul’; the first song on the album; this song kicks off with a fast rap in the first verse bringing the song to its catchy chorus. The next song we are going to look at is possibly the catchiest song on the album and luckily it’s the very next song after ‘heavydirtysoul’. ‘Stressed Out’ starts out with a very memorable drum beat that sons leads into the opening lyrics. The final song we are going to look at is one of my personal favourites called ‘The Judge’ it starts out with a deep impacting first verse of how everyone has a soft spot and then leads into the chorus. Now it’s time to reveal Blurryface’s score and position on the chart. Now factoring in Divide’s score change to 8/10 Blurryface claims the belt with a score of 8.5/10 just beating out Divide.

Year 8

Hello and welcome to HTC news today we will be reviewing the latest x-men instalment, Logan.

Logan is set in the year of 2029 where a dying Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, has retired from the x-men. Mutants are on the brink of extinction and Logan lives in an abandoned warehouse with a Professor x who is losing his mind.

Life is dull and Logan has lost many friends which makes him reluctant to danger. But this changes when he meets a girl and her mother. One day, Logan is approached by Gabriela Lopez, a nurse for the biotechnology corporation Alkali-Transigen, who wants him to escort her and a 11-year-old girl named Laura to a place in North Dakota called “Eden”.

Alkali-Transigen is hiding a secret experiment to make mutants using child experiments.  When Gabriela is killed this persuades Logan to take Laura which plunges the movie into lots of action scenes and tragedy.  Logan arrives at Eden where he meets the other child experiments but must suffer one more fight with the Alkali-Transigen’s success.

Personally I think the movie was a little overrated and barren because of the many boring scenes and bad development of characters. But was enjoyable nevertheless. It was action-packed and emotionally deep.

The relationship between Logan and Laura are a very meaningful thing to watch. And the action was very intense and thrilling.  It was given a 92% on Rotten Tomato and we give a personal rating of 74%.

Thank you for watching HTC news by Lamar and Robert.
