Students are required to attend tutorial sessions every Monday / Wednesday / Friday morning between 8.30 – 8.55am. Register to close at 8.35 and students to be marked late after this time.
Every Monday year 12 students will have an assembly in which key information will be given out. There will also be a wide range of presentation on relevant and key issues during the year and many opportunities will be highlighted through the assembly programme.
The focus is on developing key transferable skills in a fun and interactive way using an innovative APODO resource. Key skills will include teamwork / decision making / problem solving /communication and many more.
After Christmas this time will be allocated for career development and additional study.
Year 12 Study Skills Support
Year 12 students will be timetabled for one hour per week for study skill development in the first term and future progression planning for the second term. These sessions will be timetabled during the day and will be delivered by the Progress Mentor.
Tutorial Programme – Year 13
Students are required to attend tutorial sessions every Tuesday / Thursday morning between 8.30 – 8.55am. Registration closes at 8.35 and students to be marked late after this time.
Student will either attend an assembly or will be able to work on their future planning / UCAS
Student will be able to work on their future planning / UCAS
Once their UCAS application or plans have been confirmed / sent students will not be required to attend.
There will also be a year 13 quiz and 6th form council that run as part of the programme.
Year 13 Progression Support
Year 13 students will be timetabled for one hour per week for progression planning and UCAS support for the first term. These sessions will be timetabled during the day and will be delivered by the Progression Manager. Students will be expected to use this time productively to ensure that there UCAS application is competitive and sent early in the application cycle.
