2020 Student Progression

At Harton we pride ourselves on offering support for students and helping them achieve what they aspire for in life and as has been the case since the 6th Form opened a high percentage of students continue their studies in either in Further Education or for the vast majority Higher Education. Again this year a number of students were successful in gaining places at very competitive institutions and on very competitive courses.

85% of students in year 13 students progressed on to higher education – compared to 61% National average
48% of university applicants gained a place at a Russell Group University – compared with average of 12% in the North East of England.
Students progressed to study a very diverse range of course and a growing number also secured very competitive School Leaver programmes and Higher level apprenticeships.
