2019 Destinations

At Harton we pride ourselves on offering support for students and helping them achieve what they aspire for in life and as has been the case since the 6th Form opened a high percentage of students continue their studies in either in Further Education or for the vast majority Higher Education. Again this year a number of students were successful in gaining places on very competitive courses including Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Midwifery and Engineering.

2019 Student Progression

85% of students in year 13 students progressed on to higher education – compared to 61% National average

48% of university applicants gained a place at a Russell Group University – compared with average of 12% in the North East of England

6 students gained place studying medicine
3 students gained a place studying Dentistry
2 students gained a place studying Veterinary Medicine
2 students gained a place studying Architecture
3 students gained a place on studying Nursing
4 students gained a place studying pharmacy
2 students gained higher level school leaver apprenticeships
