2023 Student Progression
2023 Student Progression
We are once again very proud of the progression of students from Harton 6th form with students moving on to Further Education, Higher Education, Apprenticeships and some opting to take a GAP year to assess their options. We see ourselves as stepping stone for young people to move on in life and to flourish and fulfil their ambitions. Again this year a large number of students were successful in gaining places at very competitive institutions and on very competitive courses.
75% of students in year 13 students progressed on to higher education – compared to 66.2% National average.
35% of university applicants gained a place at a Russell Group University – compared with average of 21% in the North East of England.
Students progressed on to a wide range of higher education institutions across the country.
A growing number also secured very competitive School Leaver programmes and Higher level apprenticeships which is great to see.
