Government’s advice for school staff and students – added on 21 October 2021

Dear Parents and Carers

I am sure you are all looking forward to spending some time with your children as we hand them back to you at the end of school today, Thursday.

I would just like to take a moment to remind you of the Government’s advice for school staff and students to continue to test ourselves twice a week for COVID-19, even during the holidays. I know you already appreciate the rationale behind this, but it is now becoming more important, given the well-publicised information about the inevitable increase in positive cases. Compared to numerous schools locally and across the country, we are not doing too badly (famous last words!), so I cannot thank you enough for encouraging your child to continue in their civic duty to keep all of the community as safe as possible.

Finally, please do also urge your child to test themselves the day before they return to school after the holiday, on Sunday 31 October.

In closing, I would like to thank you for your continued support and to wish you and your loved ones all the very best over half term.

Yours sincerely.

Mr D. R. Amos
Acting Head Teacher
