Duke of Edinburgh Gold Expedition

The first team of students for many years have recently undertaken their Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition in the Lake District in unbelievably challenging conditions. The weather was horrendous from the start and the rain did not let up for the four days that the group were walking and the group dynamics were tested to the limits as they were out from dawn until dark each day and then had to set up camp and cook in the rain also. The comments from the assessor were very complimentary of five students that completed the expedition and hopefully the students can look forward to receiving their award at one of the palaces in London from a membe...

GCSE Results

"I am delighted with the GCSE results once again. Despite the changes to numbered grades in maths and English, the results compare extremely favourably with recent years and with the local, regional and national picture. Two-thirds of the students achieved at least a good pass in both maths and English. The students and staff work harder and harder and it was fabulous to see so many happy and smiling faces this morning. My sincere thanks go to the staff for their magnificent efforts as ever and massive thanks to parents and Governors for their marvellous support. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our wonderful...
