Hospitality and Hope

Harton Academy are incredibly proud to be working with an amazing charity based in South Shields. Hospitality and Hope are working to improve community wellbeing, reduce homelessness, increase employability and most profoundly for many, tackle food insecurity in our local area.   As many of you will already know, food banks have become a lifeline for many residents of our town, and the school is looking to make regular contributions.  We now have two permanent collection points at Harton, one in our main reception and one in the Wellness Centre entrance.  Any donations would be very gratefully received and will be passed on to the char...

Mock examination absence

It remains highly unlikely, but possible, that summer examinations could be cancelled in response to the on-going pandemic. If, however, summer examinations are cancelled mock examinations will contribute to Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs) as detailed in contingency plans released by Ofqual. It is therefore essential that these examinations are completed, in school, under secure conditions as specified by Ofqual. Any students who are absent for the mock examinations will be given the opportunity to complete these exams when they return to school....
