It is lovely to see so many fulfilling their ambitions with high numbers heading to a wide range of universities across the country and several taking up apprenticeships and school leaver programmes. It has been a pleasure to see all the students grow, develop and flourish in many areas of school life and we have every confidence that they will be successful in the future a...

2017/18 Head Boy and Girl

Following a very demanding four stage process I am delighted to announce that Clodagh Denham was selected as the Head Girl and Lewis Appleton as the Head Boy. Bethany Stanton, Abigail Carr and Elizabeth Brown will all be Deputy Head Girls and Brandon Jones and Michael O’Neil will both be Deputy Head Boys. Ecuador 2017

Team Ecuador has just sent through the first update since arriving 10 days ago. They have just returned to Tena after finishing the project phase. Everyone is grubby but happy and well. The team managed to build a jungle greenhouse for medicinal plants for the local communities, planted bamboo to reinforce the river banks and helped install a water system for a local village which was paid for by our school donation. A sweet end to a new beginning

The Year 13 students were in high spirits after two years of hard work, commitment and dedication. The class of 2017 certainly celebrated in style at The Hilton Hotel, Newcastle where they feasted on canapés and a three course dinner. The evening was a great success with many comical photo booth pictures, impromptu sing-alongs and a packed dance floor. Staff shared some words of wisdom with students which will hopefully stand them in good stead for their wonderful futures. Best of luck class of 2017!
