Well done to all the students that completed the Gold expedition where the two groups walked across the Lake District in challenging whether conditions. The assessor commented that it was one of the best groups he had worked with over many years and they all demonstrated the necessary skills and coped with all that was thrown at them. It is the most students that have ever reached this level and we are incredibly proud of what they have achieved. We are delighted to welcome the new year 12 students to Harton 6th Form and they have already made a positive and impressed staff with a positive attitude. Students have joined us from a wide range of schools from around the region and this really adds to the 6th form in a positive way. We organised a range of different skills based activities and team building games and hopefully the students firstly enjoyed them but also could assess their strengths and some areas for further development. We are delighted with this year’s GCSE results and would like to congratulate all of our students for their incredibly hard work. It goes without saying that we are also incredibly grateful of our teachers’ efforts in preparing these students. There are numerous individual successes, including students who have achieved the very highest possible grades across all their subjects. 53 of our students exceeded expectations by at least one grade in all subjects.
