We are conscious that there remains a great deal of uncertainty regarding summer examination grades and this is, understandably, a source of anxiety amongst our students and families. The Department for Education and Ofqual are currently seeking views, by way of a consultation document, to gather opinions regarding their proposals for managing the grading of the summer exams. We would like to announce that we have now set up our Coronavirus Mass Testing Programme for the staff and students at Harton. This started today with the testing of many of our staff. We would like to formally thank the army for their help and support in ensuring the school’s testing centre is fit for purpose. We are one of very few schools to have been visited by the army and are delighted to have been given the green light! Weekly testing of staff will continue next week, and our key worker and vulnerable children will also be tested. Dear Parents and Carers I hope you and your loved ones are well. We can now advise you that, as expected, the government has finally re-introduced its voucher scheme for students who are entitled to free school meals (FSM). We are working hard to ensure the vouchers get to you by Friday 15 January. They will total £15 per child per week. These vouchers are being back-dated to 4 January 2021. The first voucher you will receive will be for the two-week period 4-15 January 2021.
