Dear Parents and Carers

As you are probably aware, we have improved the security of the school site, which includes an upgraded pedestrian entrance on Lisle Road. As this is a time-locked gate, please do urge your child to arrive at school on time, at 8.30am – this has been the school’s start time for many years now. The reason for my communication today is to advise you that the gate’s lock is set to come on at 8.40am, after which time your child will need to press the intercom button to gain access to the school. This may subsequently mean your child is marked as late for school.

Parents of current Year 9 students are reminded that their child’s school tie will change to the all-navy Key Stage 4 tie in September. This can be purchased via the usual supplier, or from The Children’s Society at The Nook, should you wish to buy a pre-owned one.

In closing, please accept my very best wishes, especially to those students who are embarking on the public examinations in the coming weeks.
