Harton Academy – A Level results 2021

Our wonderful 6th form students have once again excelled this year. Despite the incredible challenges of the past 16 months, the students continued to work exceptionally well throughout and even managed to remain fully focused during any lockdown periods. There are some stunning individual successes and there were some very happy students and staff this morning as results were collected. I am incredibly proud of every single one of them and wish them all the very best for continued success in the future. I would also like to thank the staff for their marvellous efforts in teaching and supporting the students.

Harton 6th Form is once again very proud of the achievements in what has been an incredibly challenging 18months for everyone involved. We recognise the hard work and commitment that the students and staff have put in and many students are now moving on to their chosen progression pathway. Many have secured places at universities all over the UK and even in California and some will be starting apprenticeships or school leaver programmes. We have enjoyed seeing the students develop not just academically but into well-rounded young people who will make a positive contribution in the future and we very much look forward to hearing the exciting things that they get up to.

We believe the class of 2021 will have developed many additional skills and qualities that will stand them in good stead in the future and we would like to wish them all the very best. In addition to theacademic success we have also had record numbers of students achieve both the Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. We are very proud that are students embrace so many of the opportunities that are offered at the 6th form and we know that students will look back at many fond memories and experiences. We look forward to catching up with students at the Presentation Evening in December.

2021 has also been one of the strongest years in terms of positive future progression with over 80% of the year moving onto Higher Education. At present 50% have secured places at research led Russell Group Universities. Three students have successfully gained places at the University of Oxford and one students has successfully gained a place at the University of Cambridge. Five students were successfully in gaining places at Medical school and there has been an amazing range of courses secured across the country from Brighton all the way up to Strathclyde.
