Thurston Residential Trip

Over the Easter holidays, Thirty Four Key Stage 3 students had a fabulous 3-day trip to Thurston Outdoor Activity Centre on the shore of Lake Coniston in Cumbria.

It was an action-packed schedule with the students visiting caves, Ghyll scrambling, jumping in to the lake, orienteering, bouldering, completing low ropes and also playing many games and activities. All the staff that went on the trip, commented on the progress the students made over the course in terms of developing key skills and qualities such as teamwork, leadership, problem solving and developing resilience. It was lovely to see all the young people having a great time in the great outdoors and learning in a different way.
