Year 11 Prom 2024
Beamish Hall’s elegant Winter Garden room was once again a beautiful backdrop for the Year 11 Prom.
It was held on the 2nd of July and attended by 221 Year 11 students, and over 30 teaching, associate and support staff. The atmosphere was as magical as the venue, made even more stunning by the excellent décor choices the Prom Committee made. The sage green and champagne colour scheme for the seats, complemented floral table centrepieces.
The ladies looked truly stunning in their dresses, showing off their diverse personalities through colour and style. The gentlemen, as debonair as the occasion demanded, more than held their own, showing off a range of colours, styles and accessories. The 3 course meal looked and tasted fabulous. The venue staff worked tirelessly to ensure the students had an amazing evening and memories to treasure for a lifetime.
Speeches were delivered by both Mrs Mulligan, as Head of Year, and Mr Skurr, who was honoured to attend his first Year 11 prom as Head Teacher of Harton Academy. This was followed by the opening of the disco. The dance floor was full for the remainder of the night, with songs old and new to get everyone on their feet and singing along. It was a magnificent and memorable event in every regard and a perfect way to celebrate the students’ time at Harton Academy. We wish all our Year 11 students the very best for the future and look forward to welcoming them in school to collect their results in August.
