Code of Conduct

Dear Parents and Carers,

At Harton Academy, we are proud of the strong relationships we have built with our families. We recognise that the successful education of our young people depends upon a genuine partnership between home and school, with everyone working together to support pupils in reaching their full potential.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a positive, respectful and supportive school community, we are sharing our Parent and Carer Code of Conduct. The purpose of this document is to clearly outline the standards of behaviour and communication that help us work effectively together for the benefit of all pupils.

We understand that there are times when concerns may arise, and we always encourage parents and carers to contact us so that issues can be discussed and resolved. Our staff are committed to supporting families and will always endeavour to listen, investigate concerns thoroughly and work towards positive outcomes. In return, we ask that all interactions with staff, other parents and pupils remain courteous and respectful, even when views may differ.

The vast majority of our parents and carers already demonstrate these values in their daily interactions with the Academy, and we are extremely grateful for the support, encouragement and partnership they provide. This document serves as a reminder of our shared expectations and helps ensure that Harton Academy remains a safe, welcoming and positive environment for everyone.

We kindly ask that you take a few moments to read the attached policy. By working together with mutual respect and understanding, we can continue to provide the very best opportunities and experiences for our pupils.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Harton Academy and the young people in our care.

Best wishes,

Mr Varley (Deputy Headteacher, Pastoral).
