GCSE Results Day 2023

We are absolutely delighted with our students’ GCSE and other results today! Many have excelled, gaining the top grades across the board, and we are extremely proud of their achievements.

Despite the national trend of results dropping this year, Harton’s students have held their own and are now ready for their next steps. We are extremely grateful to all of the staff who have worked so incredibly hard to help the students with their examination preparation. This is especially more so the case, as this cohort was away from formal lessons for two prolonged periods of time during the Pandemic; we must not forget that their achievements today are in spite of these absences from lessons. We are grateful too for the marvellous support offered by parents, a number of whom were present this morning to watch the students opening their results. Finally, we appreciate, as always, the fabulous support from Directors and Governors, who always take a huge interest in how our students perform.

A significant number of our Year 11s will be joining us at Harton’s thriving 6th form and we have around 260 applicants being interviewed over the next couple of days. Whatever the students decide to do next, whether that is 6th form, college, apprenticeships or employment, we wish them all the very best for the future. They have been a wonderful year group and should be remarkably proud of their achievements.
