Harton Academy are proud to present five of our students who have been shortlisted for the ‘Best of South Tyneside Awards’.

The students have all been recognised for their skills, talents and achievements in various fields. The students, pictured with Acting Head Teacher, Mr Amos and Mrs Coulter (Head of Year 13) are:-

Josh Denholm (Year 13) – Sportsperson of the Year.
Abbie Young (Year 13) – Fundraiser of the Year – to recognise her commitment to the Anthony Nolan Charity.
Penny Simpson (Year 9) – Young Performer of the Year.
Joseph Meston (Year 13) – Young Performer of the Year.
Ruby Dearden (Year 13) – Young Person of Achievement.

Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at South Shields Football Club. As a school community, we could not be prouder of our students and wish them well for the evening!
