Change of INSET day
Dear Parents/Carers
Following the very sad passing of Andrew Doneghan, who spent 27 years at Harton, we are going to change our INSET day scheduled for Friday October 21st. Andrew’s funeral is being held on Wednesday 28th September and we have a huge number of staff who wish to pay their respects. With the rapid increase in staff COVID cases, we will be unable to cover all lessons that day. It makes sense, therefore, to have our INSET day on Wednesday 28th September in order that staff can attend and there is no detriment to the students’ learning.
Friday October 21st will now be a normal full day in school.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We have staff who are quite prepared to supervise students on September 28th should you have childcare concerns. Please let the school office know should this be the case.
