Harton Academy has been the first school in the country to apply for the Deaf-Friendly Standard and Bronze Level Award through the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS). This application has led the Society to look in more detail at an award that is tailored specifically for schools. Due to Harton’s commitment to inclusion, the National Deaf Children’s Society has invited the school to become an Educational Member and an affiliate of the NDCS.
